The 2017 Westernaires Annual Show took place this past weekend and it was, as always, a real treat. One of the amazing benefits of living in an area like Ken Caryl is the Western heritage we get to be a part of. Westernaires is a fantastic organization for Jefferson County youth ages 9-19 to learn horsemanship, respect, team work, and more.

I’m not ignorant to the fact that the organization has some detractors, and as a parent of a daughter who is a member of the Westernaires, I can confidently say I’ve been nothing but pleased thus far. We have ridden at the Ken Caryl Equestrian Center and while we enjoyed that, found it to be a bit cost-prohibitive.

Westernaires has given us an opportunity to learn even more about horses and riding at an extremely affordable price. Take a look at the pagentry of the Westernaires Annual Show and feel free to contact me with questions about our experience with the organization.
